- Spc. William J. Tracy 23, United States Army of Webster, died Feb. 24,
2003,when the helicopter he was aboard crashed in night training during a
sandstorm in the Kuwaiti desert.
- Sgt.Robert
Rooney 43, United States Army, Massachusetts
National Guard of Nashua, New Hampshire was killed in in a forklift
accident in Kuwait in September 2003.
- Sgt. Randy Rosenberg 23, United States Army of Berlin, New Hampshire was killed by a suicide bomber in Iraq in January 2004.
- Spc. Jeremiah Holmes 27,
United States Army National Guard, he spent his childhood in New
Hampshire but lived in North Berwick, Maine. He was driving a truck west
of Baghdad when he was killed by a roadside bomb in March 2004.

45, United States Army Special Forces was killed
in Iraq when his vehicle rolled over in April 2004.

United States Army of Littleton, New Hampshire was killed when his
armored vehicle drove over a bomb during a patrol in Iraq in October

was killed during operations near Fallujah, Iraq on November 19, 2004.

transport helicopter when it crashed in western Iraq , killing 30
Marines and one Navy Corpsman in January 2005.

United States Army of Nashua, New Hampshire died in a mortar and rocket
attack in Iraq in April 2005.
- SCPO Daniel R. Healy 36,
United States Navy Seal of Exeter, New Hampshire was among 16 killed
when their MH-47 helicopter which was on a rescue mission and was shot
down in Kunar Province, Afghanistan in June 2005.

vehicle overturned while on patrol in Afghanistan in February 2006.

- S/Sgt. Kyle R. Warren 28, United States Army of Manchester, New Hampshire was killed by an IED that struck the vehicle that he and Capt. Jason E. Holbrook of Burnet, Texas was riding. In Tsagay, Afghanistan on Thursday, July 29, 2010.
- Master Sgt. Jared N. Van Aalst, 34, United States Army Special Operations, of Laconia, New Hampshire
was killed Wednesday, August 4, 2010 during a combat operation in the Konduz Province
of Afghanistan.
- Sgt. Andrew C. Nicol 23, United States Army of Kensington, New Hampshire was killed by an IED in Afghanistan on Sunday, August 8, 2010.
- Cpl. Philip Gerald Eichner Charte 22, United States Marine Corps of Goffstown, New Hampshire was killed while supporting combat operations in Helmand Province, Afghanistan on September 7, 2010.
- L/Cpl. Michael Geary 20, United States Marine Corps of Derry, New Hampshire was killed in action in Afghanistan on Wednesday, December 8, 2010.
- CWO Christopher R. Thibideau
28, United States Army, formerly of Marlborough, New Hampshire, died of
injuries sustained in a helicopter crash durind combat operations in
Paktika Province, Afghanistan. An Army helicopter pilot assigned to the
1st Battalion, 4th Combat Aviation Brigade out of Fort Hood Texas. He
died on Thursday, May 28. 2011.
- Pfc. Michael B. Cook 27, United States Army, formerly of Salem, New Hampshire — It's been several years since Pfc. Michael B. Cook Jr. has lived
in New Hampshire, but family, friends and teachers in Salem and Pelham
say his death has left a hole. Cook is the fifth Salem High School graduate to be killed in the War on Terror, and the third from the class of 2003. Cook had been serving in Iraq since November. He was killed on Monday, June 13, 2011 —
his 27th birthday — during a rocket attack on a military base in
Baghdad.
- Spc. Nicholas P. Bernier, 21, of East Kingston, N.H., died on Saturday, June 25, 2011 at
Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, Landstuhl, Germany, of injuries
suffered June 22 when insurgents attacked his unit using small arms fire
in Kherwar, Afghanistan. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 30th
Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division, Fort
Polk, La. A 2007 graduate of Exeter, New Hampshire High School, Bernier joined the Army less than
a year out of high school and was deployed to Afghanistan in support of
"Operation Enduring Freedom" in October 2010. He received numerous awards and decorations for his service.
